Philip is an accomplished artist who has more recently been recognized as one of the leading wild life and landscape artists in Ireland.

He has outstanding ability to bring life to his subject is obvious, and reflects a true talent. Complemented by sensitivity to light and shade, and to the character of subject, he completes a unique and beautiful work of art. The attention to detail is meticulous and follows a strict and authentic study of the subject, ensuring the surroundings, body movement and settings are all compatible with the true nature.

Philip has untrained natural ability, which has been recognized by number of the critics. He is a registered Professional Artist winning the “All Ireland Art Championships” in 1995, and other significant events. He has been interviewed on The Late Late show, and on Radio, and has been reported in the national press.

His work is exhibited annually at the Killkenny Arts Festival, and more recently he has exhibited at the Art Ireland exhibition in the RDS at Ballsbridge. In earlier years much of his work has been commissioned by clients but slowly this balance is changing as he choose his own subjects, though he still does accept commissions which he feels will complement his work.

Over the years works of art have found their way to the far reaches of the world, even as far as New Zealand, the USA, and of course throughout Europe. Some of Philip’s work is now avalaible as Limited Edition print. The process used reflectes his meticulous approach to detail. (Gicleè print).
