Radek Rola was born in Poland in 1979. He obtained Master Degree in Business Management but his life is connected with art from an early age. His grandfather was well known artist in Poland. He also was Radek’s master and he created the most part of his art sensibility.
He works primallary in acrylic painting portraits. His paintings are based on close to monochrome palette with the strong contrast between light and dark shapes. He has been a involved in numerous group exhibitions in Cherrylane Gallery from 2005 and also regularly in The Oisin Gallery Dublin.
Artist statement:
My paintings are based on philosophy of pure form with strong interaction. I’m trying to create shapes filled with emotions and symbolism without any distortions to which I can include colour. Main subject of my work are faces that can strictly show various human conditions, moods, characters.
